Rachel Banham Back with a vengeance

At the start of her rookie season, we at WNBAinsidr had high expectations for

Rachel Banham.

Coming off a well-publicized college career Banham was just starting to live up to our view of

her, and then… Those expectations were dashed when the young star went down with a

season-ending knee injury.

With rehab in the past Banham is focused and ready to shine bright for the Connecticut Sun.

The Sun are hosting four preseason games in a two-day span.

The Sun will play Chicago at 7 p.m. May 2 and Los Angeles at 7 p.m. on May 3. New York

and Los Angeles will square off at 5 p.m. on May 2 with Chicago playing New York at 5 p.m.

on May. 3.

WNBA preSeason 2017

On April 29th the Dallas Wings and the San Antonio Stars will go
toe-to-toe in Texas, facing off in the first preseason game of the
2017 WNBA season.

Over the past few days, each team has reported to training camp. As
always with the WNBA most teams are missing key players as they finish
their overseas season. Training camp and preseason combine for less
than an month, so these few weeks of practice are extremely important
for teams to really set the foundation of their season.

The excitement for this season is high. It builds off of an amazing
2016 WNBA finals which was followed by a well-received draft. We are
very excited to cover the many story lines the league has to offer,
