Rachel Banham Back with a vengeance

At the start of her rookie season, we at WNBAinsidr had high expectations for

Rachel Banham.

Coming off a well-publicized college career Banham was just starting to live up to our view of

her, and then… Those expectations were dashed when the young star went down with a

season-ending knee injury.

With rehab in the past Banham is focused and ready to shine bright for the Connecticut Sun.

The Sun are hosting four preseason games in a two-day span.

The Sun will play Chicago at 7 p.m. May 2 and Los Angeles at 7 p.m. on May 3. New York

and Los Angeles will square off at 5 p.m. on May 2 with Chicago playing New York at 5 p.m.

on May. 3.

Sue Bird to miss start of training camp

Seattle Storm president/GM released a statement to the media saying:

“Sue underwent a left knee scope earlier this month. At this point, she is not participating in camp; her rehab and progression are on schedule. Her timetable for participation in camp is not set, but we are expecting her back at full strength soon.”

At the age of 36, Sue is coming off one of her best seasons of her career averaging almost 13ppg and 5.8 assists per game. In an interview earlier this year she spoke about how taking care of her body has made her feeling more healthy than she has in years.
