When the Las Vegas Aces signed Carolyn Swords, the moves may have raised concerns.

Swords is a defensive minded center who has played for Laimbeer previously in New York for two seasons. However, in order to facilitate the signing, Laimbeer traded Alexander, who is good at both ends of the court and coming off a career year.

When the Las Vegas Aces re-signed Sequoia Holmes they showed the heart of the team still beats.

Sequoia Holmes started in the WNBA a long time ago, back in 2008 with the Houston Comets playing 17 games. Her next season in the WNBA was 2010 where she played 15 games for the Phoenix Mercury.
