Who’s Hot?

The Dallas Wings, who are led by the veteran duo of Skylar Diggins-Smith and Liz Cambage, have won five straight games.

Who’s Not?

The Phoenix Mercury, who were in last week’s “Who’s Hot” category, went from winning four in a row to now losing three in a row.

Performance of the Week

Candace Parker, Sparks: 21 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks in win against Storm.

Game of the Week

The Aces, who started off the season cold, have started to turn things around by earning some big wins.  The new and young Aces beat the Lynx last Friday.  Not only did they beat the 2017 champs, who are a veteran team, they even shut down some of their key players.  Maya Moore, who is the Lynx leading scorer at 18 points per game, only scored 12 points and Sylvia Fowles, their second leading scorer, only had 7 points.  Although Lindsay Whalen had a season high with 22 points, it was not enough as the Aces outscored them 85-77. The Aces’ Kayla McBride led the way in scoring with 24 points, and although A'ja Wilson scored under her average with 11 points, she definitely showed up in the rebounding category with 15 boards.  This was a crucial game for both teams given that the season is edging towards playoff time and both teams are trying to secure a spot.

Beast of the East

Although the Mystics lost two of their last three games, they still hold the top spot with a 13-8 record.

Wild, Wild West

The Mercury are on a three-game losing streak and the Storm have won two of their last three games to move into first place with a 16-6 record.

What To Watch

The Dream, who hold the second spot in the East, and the Sun, who hold the third spot, will battle it out on Tuesday night at 7 ET.
